Philamentos Pilot — Terms of Service

1. What Philamentos is

Philamentos connects customers who want 3D-printed designs with independent local printer operators (“printers”) in our launch cities. We curate the catalog, match orders to printers, hold payment until the handoff is verified, and pay printers after completion. Printers are independent — they are not our employees or agents.

2. Ordering and payment

You pay Philamentos the listed print price plus a platform fee ($1 per started $70 of print price) at the time of ordering, via Stripe. We hold the funds until your order completes. Prices are in USD.

3. Pickup and the pickup code

Orders are fulfilled by local pickup at the address the printer lists (shown before you order). When your print is ready you receive a 6-digit pickup code, valid for 7 days. You show the code at pickup; the printer confirms it to complete the order.

4. Refunds and cancellations

• You may cancel for a full refund any time before a printer accepts your order.
• If no printer accepts within 24 hours of payment, the order is cancelled and refunded automatically.
• If a print fails, you are refunded in full and may request a priority re-match with another printer (a new paid order).
• If a printer fails to fulfill an accepted order, you are refunded in full.

5. Uncollected orders

If you do not pick up within 7 days of the pickup code being issued, the order is forfeited: the printer is paid in full for their work and no refund is due. We send a reminder before expiry.

6. Printers

Printer accounts require an approved application. Printers are paid the full print price after photo proof and pickup-code verification (or forfeiture). Payouts are processed manually during the pilot. Repeated failures to fulfill accepted orders result in penalty flags and suspension from job offers. Your listed pickup address is public — choose one you are comfortable sharing.

7. Content and IP

Catalog designs are provided by partner designers or under licenses permitting commercial printing, with attribution where required. Printers receive design files solely to fulfill assigned orders and may not redistribute or reuse them.

Custom uploads: when you upload your own model, you confirm that you own it or have the right to have it printed, and that it infringes no one’s rights and depicts nothing unlawful or prohibited (including weapons or their components). You keep ownership of your model; you grant Philamentos and the assigned printer a limited license to store and print the file solely to fulfill your order. We may review, refuse, or remove any upload and cancel the related order at our discretion, at no charge to you. Uploaded files are shared only with the printer assigned to your order.

8. Pilot disclaimer

This is a pilot service, provided as-is. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
